About Me

I’m Sam Hart, an operator turned investor with a track record of scaling startups and backing founders.

For the last seven years, I was part of the leadership team at ScreenCloud, a B2B SaaS scale-up I joined when it was a 10-person startup with <$1m ARR. Over time, I was promoted 4× to VP Sales & Strategic Finance, managing a $15m P&L, leading a global GTM team, and building the operating model that ultimately supported the company’s $110m exit (86× growth).

Alongside operating, I’ve stepped into the investment world. At Motion Ventures (Singapore) I evaluated 120+ startups, built financial and operating models for deals in maritime and climate-tech, and wrote a deep dive on AI-enabled carbon reduction that became a firm research note.

I also founded 33x, a platform that systematically scores and syndicates UK SEIS/EIS opportunities.

Most recently, I completed my MBA in Banking & Finance at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (First Class Honours), where I chaired the MBA Finance Club and led a VC Modelling Series.

What I bring

  • Commercial & strategic leadership — from repricing legacy customers (+$600k ARR in one month) to designing 12-quarter financial models used in acquisition.

  • Investment perspective — experience screening, diligencing, and structuring early-stage deals, with a data-driven lens.

  • Global outlook — lived and worked across the UK, US, EU, and APAC; fluent in navigating cross-cultural teams and markets.

  • Technical & financial toolkit — advanced modelling (DCF, LBO, option pricing), SQL/Python for data analysis, and hands-on deal execution.

Outside of work

I’m curious about how technology transforms industries, particularly SaaS, fintech, and energy. I enjoy running (I’ve raced half-marathons in Singapore’s heat), Formula 1, and exploring new cuisines. I’m also passionate about mentoring — from cap tables to investor updates — helping the next generation of founders avoid common mistakes.

Let’s Connect

I’m always keen to meet operators, investors, and founders. If you’d like to chat about scaling a startup, structuring an investment, or exploring opportunities, get in touch.
